Fall Real Estate in Northeast Ohio: The Market Is Still Moving

As the leaves begin to change and temperatures start to cool, the Northeast Ohio real estate market is showing that the change of seasons does not necessarily mean a slowdown in real estate activity.

The Cleveland-area market continues to show signs of resilience. September data showed active listings in the Cleveland market were up 16.7% from the previous year, giving buyers more properties to consider. At the same time, the median list price remained essentially unchanged year over year at approximately $259,900. Homes were spending a median of about 44 days on the market, still considerably faster than the national median of 61 days.

Ohio's broader housing market is also holding its ground. In September, the statewide median sold price was approximately $280,000, up 7.69% from the previous year, while active listings increased 6.81%.
